HISTORY The SVFD Live-In Program was
established to provide the community with the professional level of
quality fire protection that they deserve and expect from the
Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department. Established in August of 2005,
the SVFD Live-In Program consisted of three SVFD members;

into the firehouse and have been staffing the station for over a
year! Life at the 50 house is a very entertaining and rewarding
