1327 hrs Tuesday September 6, Station 10, 50, and 60 responded for an accident with extrication. An 18 wheeler carrying cinder blocks ran off the road way on Benns Church Blvd and landed on its side. Cinder blocks were across both lanes making the road impassable. A single occupant was partially ejected and pinned. 503 (Stallings) took command from R50 upon arrival. R50 extricated the individual within 10 minutes of arrival, the pt was placed in the care of station 60 medics. SQ10 assisted with scene support. Medic transported to a local hospital. Hazards were mitigated, cinder blocks were removed from the roadway by crews and bystanders. Scene was turned over to state PD.
