Department training is continually required to improve skills and learn new techniques. Dave's Service Center, in the heart of Smithfield typically provides junk autos so members can train on simple, complex and new auto extrication techniques. Members of "THE RESCUE" took several new members to Dave's Service Center on March 15 and went through several skills and techniques. SVFD Firefighter Ryan Brown, an instrumental part of the Dave's Family provided the vehicle.
