On November 25th 2011 at approx 10 am, Station 50 was dispatched to a car vs building with potential injuries. Chief 501 (J. Stallings) arrived on scene with an SUV into a building with heavy damage to the building. Engine 53 (War Wagon) and Rescue 50 (Hamtown Heavy) both responded. Isle of Wight Rescue Squad also responded for the report of injuries. EMS evaluated the driver and it was determined that there were no injuries and cleared from the scene. The incident was under control in about an hour and all units cleared without incident. The building was turned over to the owner and the Town Building inspector for evaluation
