MESSAGE FROM THE FIRE CHIEF:

Thank you for visiting the web site of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department. Our site contains valuable information about our department and our community. I hope you will take the time to explore the different areas and links.

As Fire Chief, I am honored to lead such a dedicated group of men and women who give their time and passion to serve our community.  Our department is built on pride, hard work and teamwork.  These are the values that guide us on a daily basis.

Whether it’s responding to emergencies, training or supporting community events our volunteers are committed to providing the highest quality of service.  This is the reasons our members train hard and train often.  Whether they are taking a class or teaching a class our members are constantly learning being a student of their craft.

All of these things I just mentioned are just a part of what brings both pride and ownership to our department.  Every person in this department brings something to the table from the Command staff down to the Junior member.  If you would like information on joining our department please stop by and talk to one of our members.

Respectfully,

Jason Stallings

Chief of Department
