| At 12:06 station 50 and 10 were dispatched to 17401 Scotts Factory Rd for a building with smoke and fire showing. Engine 50 marked en route with 3 quickly followed by Engine 52. While en route Chief 503 (Savage) requested Chuckatuck Station 9 bring a tanker due to the fires location to any water supply. Engine 50 arrived on scene to a fully involved wood frame detached garage and went to work pulling a 150 foot 1 3/4" line and a 200 foot 2 1/2" line to combat the flames. By working the 2 lines together the fire was brought under control in just over 3 minutes. Crews from station 50 and 10 spent the next hour taking care of hot spots due to the large fire load. Unfortunately the garage was a total loss. |
