At 12:05 Station 50, 10, and 60 were dispatched to 982 John Rolfe Dr for the second 1st due fire for station 50 this week. Engine 52 marked enroute in under 60 seconds with a crew of three. Upon arrival Engine 52's officer marked on scene with a working fire with heavy smoke and fire showing from the attic area above the upstairs appartment on the "A" side of the structure. Crews from Engine 52 rapidly stretched a line to the second floor. Engine 50 arrived on scene taking command and laying a 5 inch supply line into the complex for Engine 52. Crews from Engine 52 were able to bring the fire under control in under 20 minutes. Truck 50 was moved to the "A" side of the structure while Quint 10 went to the "D" side both to check for extension in the attic area. In all, crews where on scene for a total of two hours and thanks to an aggresive fire attack were able to significantly minimize the amount of fire damage.
