| January 1 at 00:43hrs, Station 10 and Station 50 were dispatched to the 21000 block of Brewers Neck Blvd for a structure fire. 101 Chief Nunez arrived on scene and declared a working incident with heavy smoke and fire. Multiple agencies in the county we’re dispatched for additional water supply, the city of Suffolk was notified as well. Crews attempted to make an aggressive fire attack to get to the seat of the fire but due to collapse hazards crews were pulled from interior. A primary search was done with no occupants found. Crews operated on scene for 6hrs, and a demolition crew was called to assist removing walls for crews to extinguish hot spots. Homeowners were not home at the time of the event and were located safely off the premises. At this time, it’s Unknown of how the fire started. |
