On Monday November 7 at approximately 0110 hrs units from the SVFD, IOWRS and IOWSO responded to the area of Rt 10 and Berry Hill Rd for an MVA. Upon arrival, R50 found a single vehicle overturned with one occupant trapped. Crews stabilized the vehicle, removed the drivers side door and extricated the patient who was transported to a local medical facility with non-life threatening injuries. Carrollton VFD Squad Co. 10 also responded for assistance.

Tuesday November 8 at 1753 a verbal alarm for a large grass fire in the 19000 blk of Farm Rd was received at the headquarters of the SVFD. 504, E51 and B50 initially responded and found an approximately 2 acre wind-driven fire which was spreading towards a wooden walk way. Crews began fire attack as E52, E53, CVFD Tanker 10 and RVFD Tanker 30 responded to assist with fire operations. Crews operated for about 2 hrs and no injuries were reported.
