The officers and members of the SVFD would like to congratulate 3 of our members on thier appointments to Navy Regional Fire/Rescue Mid Atlantic. Firefighters Jay Koepke, Ivan Sherwood and Hunter Boswell will begin thier new careers within a few weeks. Unique to the SVFD, most of our members serve in career fire departments in all of Hampton Roads as well as Richmond and Chesterfield County. This dynamic brings the high level of service, training and experience to the department so that we can better serve the citizens we are dedicated to protect.
