Engine 51 with 3 SVFD members and 502 (Deputy Chief Kempton) responded mutual aid to Surry Co. on March 19 @ 1524 hrs to assist with a structure fire on Ellerslie Drive. On arrival, E51 assisted with fire attack of a detached shed and a working woods fire that resulted from the shed fire. E-51 operator set up a draft from a drop tank and shuttled water to apparatus while the rest of the crew assisted with the shed and woods fire. SVFD operated for approximately 2 hours before turning to Hamtown.
