SVFD held a day long training on various search techniques on May 8, 2021. Hands on practical applications as well as PowerPoint presentations were given on victim drags, standard primary searches as well as vent, enter, isolate, search. Morning sessions focused on techniques and teamwork. The afternoon, training was taken to the live fire boxes were students practiced their skills under real smoke conditions. The SVFD would like to thank Training Chief Jason Keopke, Lt Connor Smith, Lt Chris Zach and FF/Engineer Curt Wilchek for providing the training.
