For the third time this month, Smithfield crews faced heavy fire conditions on arrival. Crew arrived to find a horse stable heavily involved on Monday March 27 at approx. 1140 am. Smithfield 501 (Stallings) took command, lines were stretched and the fire quickly knocked down. Mutual Aid was received for water supply from Chuckatuck VFD, Ivor VFD, Rushmere VFD. Carrollton VFD also assisted with fireground operations. No injuries were reported and crews were in service approx. 1330 hrs.
