On Weds Dec 7 at 1921 hrs, Smithfield Engine 50 and Tower Ladder 51 responded to a reported structural fire in a maintenance shop in the Jersey Park Apartments complex. Arriving Engine 50 (Lt. Gray) reported smoke showing and declared a working fire. Crews gained entry and knocked down and controlled the fire with a water can. An attack line was stretched and the fire was extinguished, Tower 51 vented the structure. No injuries were reported and damage was minor, the assignment was held with Smithfield units who remained on scene for approx. 30 minutes.
