Tuesday Evening, November 8 at 1730 hrs, Smithfield VFD rescue crews were called to Benns Church BLVD and Turner Dr. for an MVA with 1 vehicle on its side. Upon arrival, Smithfield 502 (Hackney) assumed command and found a 3 vehicle MVA with one person trapped in the vehicle on its side. Rescue 50 and arriving units went to work, stabilized the vehicle and removed the roof to extricate the patient. The pt was extricated quickly and transported to a local hospital, Isle of Wight Rescue Squad (Station 60) also responded to the incident.
