On this day 15 years ago, our way of life was changed forever by the catastrophic events in New York City, The Pentagon and Shanksville Pa. Please take a moment today to reflect on those events and the sacrifices suffered by thousands that morning and still suffering today. The Officers and members of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department mourn the loss of our brother firefighters that morning as well as the innocent civilians, EMT's and police officers. May you all rest in peace and we will NEVER FORGET!!
