At 830pm Stations 50, 10, and 60 were dispatched to a possible structure fire at 609 Hillcrest Dr. Engine 51 responded quickly from the station with a crew of 5. With training being conducted about 5 miles away from the scene we were able to get multiple staffed pieces of apparatus on the road in short period on time. In all Engine 50 and 52 along Truck 50 and Rescue 50 all marked en route with full crews. Chief 504 (Edwards) arrived on scene first assume Hillcrest Command marking off with a single story structure with smoke showing from the front door and "A" side windows. Engine 51 was the first arriving apparatus taking the fire attack assignment and streching a single 1 3/4" line through the front door and proceeding through heavy smoke to the fire room. A small fire was found in the back bedroom. With a quick knockdown the fire was marked out after 5 minutes on scene. Truck 50 took the special service assignment and assisted with overhaul and checking for extension. Command held the assignment to Station 50 and rerouted Engine 10 to backfill Station 50 for the duration. All units worked on scene for about an hour prior to clearing.
