Accident with Extrication

At 17:08 Chuckatuck VFD and Station 60 were notified of an accident with injuries in the 17000 block of Darden Lane. Dispatch received further information of a possible entrapment which placed Rescue 50 on the call as the special service piece. Chief 209 (Dortch) was first on scene, taking command of a single vehicle rollover with major damage. Upon further investigation it was determined that this incident would be a working extrication. Engine 29 was the first arriving apparatus and assumed extrication duties. Rescue 50 arrived shortly after and provided assistance to Engine 29. Companies completed a modified side removal and removed one stable ALS patient that was ground transported to Riverside Trauma Center for further treatment. The extrication to approximately 10 minutes.
