RESCUE 50 RUNS CUT JOB

Shortly after 7:30 pm Station 50 and 60 were notified of an accident with injuries on Benns Church Blvd.
Rescue 50, Chief 505 (Britt), and Medic 60 responded. Chief 505 marked off with one vehicle on its side with one trapped and took command. Nightingale air ambulance was launched due the nature of the incident. Rescue 50 arrived on scene and went to work. Members stabilized the vehicle so that a member could go inside and make access to patient. The roof of the vehicle was removed using a roof flop method. Extrication took approximately 20 minutes. The patient was removed and turned over to Medic 60. Engine 53 and Chief 501 (Stalllings) handled the landing zone. After further evaluation it was deemed the patient was stable enough for ground transport and was taken to Riverside Trauma Center for further treatment.
