Crews Revive Pt. After MVA

Smithfield VFD and Isle of Wight Rescue Crews were alerted for an MVA with a person unresponsive at approx. 1601 hrs on Sat. June 3. A first arriving IOWSO deputy found a person unresponsive in cardiac arrest, not trapped, the deputy rapidly began BLS CPR care. SVFD Rescue 50 and Isle of Wight Rescue Squad crews arrived shortly after and continued with BLS and ALS care. After working several minutes the pt. had a return of spontaneous circulation, the pt. was airlifted to a local hospital via Nightengale air ambulance after transport to Station 60 landing zone (Engine 51 had landing zone control).
