On Monday May 22, SVFD and Isle of Wight Rescue Station 60 participated in a joint drill simulating two workers electrocuted on the roof of Station 51. SVFD members accessed the roof, evaluated the pts. (1 D.O.A. and 1 cardiac arrest) and began BLS treatment until the ALS providers from Station 60 were brought to the roof. Once ALS care was initiated, crews packaged the pt. and removed the pt. to the ground to an awaiting medic unit using the tower ladder. Captain Jeff Smith and Fire Chief Jason Stallings led the drill with assistance from Louis Durkac from Station 60.
