On Saturday November 19, The SVFD hosted its first ever "Hook and Can Class". This class, comprised of approx. 25 veteran firefighters from numerous municipalities in multiple states participated in live fire training. The drills consisted of 3 different scenarios: "Vent, enter, isolate, search", fire attack with a water can and primary search/fire attack with a water can. This class was done at the SVFD utilizing our "Can Confidence Boxes", built completely by the members of the SVFD. A great day of training and brotherhood was had by all and we anticipate more classes in the near future.
