At 06:06 Station 50 and 60 were dispatched to a two car accident with injuries at the intersection on Battery Park Rd and John Rolfe Dr. Rescue 50 responded and on arrival found a two vehicle with moderate to heavy damage and one vehicle off the roadway. Upon further investigation one patient was found to be unstable and pinned in the vehicle. Medics from Station 60 requested Nightingale Air Ambulance for patient transport. Rescue 50 preformed a total side and roof removal to remove the patient. Engine 53 handled landing zone control. One patient was flown to a local trauma center for further treatment. Units worked on scene for 30 minutes.
