Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Captain Jason Koepke
September 15, 2014

We would like to take a moment to thank the following organizations that helped to make the Truck Operations Class a success this past weekend:

• Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad (Station 60) for providing a medic.

• Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department (Station 10) for providing Quint 10 and an instructor.

• Windsor Volunteer Fire Department (Station 40) for providing various equipment.

• Chesapeake Fire Department for allowing the use of Ladder 12 during Sunday's evolutions.

• Virginia Beach Fire Department for allowing us to use their training facility on Sunday.

We of course would like to thank Matt Verlaque (Arlington County Fire Department) and Jon Hart (Baltimore County Fire Department) for coming down and sharing their knowledge and experience with the class. We will look forward to having you guys back again soon!

We would also like to thank Jeremy Williams and Bobby Mathews from Norfolk Fire Department for attending the class as instructors and sharing their knowledge and experience with the class. We will look forward to having you guys back soon!

Thanks to Tailboard Training for providing equipment and a instructor for the class.

Most importantly, we sincerely appreciate those individuals that chose to spend their free time with us over the course of the weekend. It was a lot of fun to meet new people that share our passion for the fire service. You will ALWAYS be welcome at “The 50 House.”

More photos from this past weekend will be available in the Photo/Video section under training soon.
