Stallings Creek Working Fire

Shortly after 1030 Station 50 was notified of a working residential structure fire on Stallings Creek Dr. Engine 50, 52, and 53 marked en route quickly along with Chief 501 (Stallings) and Chief 503 (Savage). Upon arrival 501 found a 2 story balloon frame residence with heavy smoke showing throughout and fire showing from the 1st and 2nd floor on the "D" side of the structure. On arrival Engine 52 stretched two hand lines into the structure battling high heat and limited visibility to make an aggressive fire attack. The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes. Units from station 40, Chuckatuck station 9, and Ivor VFD were requested for manpower due to the high outside temperatures. In all station 50 remained on scene for about 4 hours completing extensive overhaul.

Units: Engine 50, 51, 52, 53, Rescue 50, Chief 501, 503
