want to donate my time/talents?
A. We have established a new membership class for
Non-firefighting personnel
called Support Services.

- This is a non-firefighting
position of the SVFD
- You will be required to
provide 40 hours per year of service
- You must submit to a
criminal history background check
- You must submit to and
pass a drug screen
- You must be a High School
Graduate (G.E.D. ok)
- You must be at least 18
years of age

Q.
How much time per week does it take to
be a volunteer?
A. As much time as you can afford to give. There is no
set limit to the
amount of time our members give the department per week. We have
members that put in 6-8 hours per week and we have members that
participate in the SVFD Live-In Program where they actually reside at
the fire station.
