Associate Membership Information

Associate Membership is designed to allow experienced firefighters outside of our fire district to participate with our department.

Requirements:

This position is only available for individuals that already have Firefighter I & CPR Certifications. (Proof of Certification is required)
A SVFD application must be completed and submitted to the department.
You must be at least 18 years old
You must be a High School Graduate (G.E.D. ok)
Candidates must submit to & PASS a Drug Screen.
Candidates must submit to & PASS a Criminal History Background Check.
Applicants must submit to & PASS a physical.
A DMV driving record will be submitted.
Associate Members are required to pull 24 hours of duty per month.
All training requirements are expected to be fulfilled.

HERE IS HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS:

Fill out a SVFD membership application.
Return the completed application to the President.
Submit a copy of your current certifications.
Submit your Driving Record
Your application will be read at the next general business meeting and tabled for one month.
An interview will be conducted with you after the first reading.
Your application is voted on in the next business meeting.
